Williams Tenders Expands

Williams Performance Tenders is looking forward to an exciting year ahead, as it plans to grow both its factory and workforce following a very successful 2014. In early 2015, Williams will extend the size of its factory in Oxford by 6,000 square feet and will recruit five additional members of staff, in order to meet growing demand for the brand’s Dieseljet and newly-launched Sportjet ranges.

2014 was an exceptionally strong year for Williams, as the company celebrated its 10 year anniversary in July, as well as its strongest ever order book. The company also saw increasing levels of business from volume sailboat manufacturers such as Hanse and Group Beneteau with its Prestige range. Both these manufacturers, along with other key brands such as Princess and Sunseeker, have designed their garages specifically to fit a Williams tender, providing a glowing endorsement of the brand’s popularity and appeal.

Furthermore, the 2014 Southampton Boat Show saw Williams take home the Sunseeker Supplier of the Year award, in recognition of the team’s outstanding performance in meeting Sunseeker’s most demanding requirements.

Mathew Hornsby, Sales Director at Williams, said: “2014 was an incredible year for Williams, with the world launch of our new Sportjet range at the Yachting Festival de Cannes and our fantastic 10 year celebration. We also saw our best results yet at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in October. We are starting 2015 in a strong position and are very excited about what the year ahead will bring. We look forward to welcoming talented new members of staff to the team and continuing to grow the Williams brand.”

Founded by brothers Mathew and John Hornsby in 2004, Williams has established itself as the world’s leading jet tender specialist, renowned for design excellence and practical attention to detail across its range of Turbojet, Dieseljet and Sportjet models. The company currently employs 50 staff at its Oxfordshire base and is supported by a global team of factory trained engineers. Williams produces up to 700 boats per year and had a turnover of £11.2M in 2013.
