A RIB Racing Event Like No Other
The Rubson Raid Turquoise is a RIB racing event like no other. It’s an international competition combining a nautical race and sporting events, where teams of 4 – men and women, amateurs and professionals – compete in a unique sporting adventure that brings people together in the heart of the most inaccessible places on the planet!

Ten countries are expected to be represented: the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, the United States but also China and Russia.

The teams will set off in the wake of the pirate and explorer Sir Francis Drake to discover the ten island archipelago of Cape Verde, located 500km west of Dakar.

All the competitors will skipper identical RIBs, 7.5m Capellis, powered by Yamaha 4 stroke 250 CV motors. See www.yamaha-motor-europe.com for details of the power behind the event. For 2006, 20 teams will set off on a 6 day competition willing their heart to take first place on the podium and to hit the jackpot, kept secret until the start of the race.

Events
Speed, orientation, predicted time, non-timed link events incorporating swimming, jet-ski, water-ski, fishing, diving. And an anticipated ascent of Fogo's 2900m active volcano for a simply breathtaking view over the archipelago.

Registration Fees:
4 competitors + 1 substitute: € 50,000 before tax
4 competitors + 2 substitute: € 53,500 before tax

If you wish to invite a client or business partner to take part in the race as a spectator, the price is € 3,500 before tax per person.
